HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA
What can we say, we love hemp! Hemp has been hailed as one of the greatest plants on earth due to its ability to be converted into such a vast array of textiles, food and medicine. Hemp can be used to produce strong, durable and environmentally-friendly plastic substitutes. Thousands of products made from petroleum-based plastics can be produced from hemp-based composites. Hemp has been described as a carbon sink. It takes up vast amounts of carbon during its rapid growth and this can be locked up in durable products like the Hempot™.
Located in scenic Humboldt County California, iEarth, LLC serves as a base for sustainable systems engineering. iEarth has designed and tested the Hempot™ to be the world's first commercially available hemp fiber grow pot. iEarth wanted to actively launch the 1 gallon Hempot and is currently working to develop different sizes and alternative applications for this hemp fiber.
We are looking to partner with businesses who share our same enthusiasm for hemp products. If you would like to work with us please contact us here:
The Hempot™ was designed to be a counterpoint to the common "fabric grow pot" which has been traditionally made out of plastic polymer fibers. As these plastic fibers breakdown over a few years, they leave behind micropolymers in the environment that can be considered harmful to the ecosystems, as we are now seeing how microplastics affect the ocean.
The difference between The Hempot™ is 100% biodegradable hemp fiber that completely dissolves into organic matter in the soil.
